Microlearning App: Learn Something Every Day in 5 Minutes

Two hours of studying on Sunday sounds productive. By Tuesday you've forgotten most of it.

Microlearning is the alternative. Five minutes every day, for weeks – and you retain dramatically more.

The Science Behind It

Spaced learning isn't a new concept. Memory researchers have documented it for decades: content learned in multiple short sessions is retained far better than the same content absorbed in one long block.

The reason is sleep. Every night your brain consolidates what you learned during the day. If you learn something small every day, you get a consolidation cycle every night. If you study four hours once a week, you get one.

What Microlearning Isn't

Microlearning isn't a replacement for deep learning. If you want to truly master a complex subject, you'll need longer sessions eventually.

But for building general knowledge, for personal development, for topics that interest you but never feel urgent enough to take a full course – microlearning is perfect.

How I Built the Habit

I do it in the mornings, right after journaling. Five minutes. One idea, one concept, one short piece of content that makes me think.

It was a conscious decision at first. After a few weeks, it became automatic. I miss it when I skip it – that's the sign a habit has stuck.

In PROG, microlearning is built directly into your daily routine. No separate app, no extra step, no additional tool.
