At some point I had a different app for everything. Journaling here, habits there, tasks somewhere else, affirmations in yet another. My home screen looked like a productivity store catalog.

I still wasn't consistent.

It's not the number of apps that slows you down. It's the mental overhead of switching between systems, remembering where everything lives, and making five decisions before you've even started your day.

Consistency comes from simple systems. Simple systems mean fewer steps between you and what you want to do.

What an All-in-One App Has to Deliver

An app that does everything is only better if it does everything well. If journaling, habit tracking, microlearning, affirmations, and task management are all mediocre implementations, separate best-in-class apps for each area would be better.
